In 2019, The European Union awarded us as the best in children's product safety in European Product Safety Awards. We received the award for ensuring that our clothes are not only safe for kids, but offer extra protection, for example, by enhancing visibility in the dark or by repelling bugs that bite.
No harmful substances
Our clothing has been 100% PFC-free since 2017 â instead, we use nominated, fluorine free treatments such as BIONIC FINISHÂź ECO and Teflon EcoeliteÂź for water repellency. Our products are also free from formaldehyde, phthalates, and azo dyes.
Our Restricted Substances List (RSL) specifies which chemical substances are banned or restricted in the product and material manufacturing process and in the finished products. All Reima suppliers are committed to complying with this list, and the banned substances should not occur at any stage of production.

We are a bluesignŸ partner, which helps us to improve chemical safety and reduce the environmental impact of textile manufacturing. All bluesignŸ partners must meet strict criteria for chemical management to protect the water, air, and soil, as well as the people working with textiles. We ensure chemical safety through using bluesignŸ approved materials, choosing chemically safe manufacturing and opting for organic natural materials.
